Follow these steps to create persistent links to videos in the Kanopy video playlist:
Start at the A-Z Databases page (or the Videos page):
- Open the Kanopy playlist. This is a very small collection of 6 videos.
- Find a video to view.
- Click on the video's graphic to pull up the player.
- Copy the link from behind the Share button. Select either Share (persistent URL only) or Embed (<iframe> code with player). Kanopy uses simple access without proxied links, so you will not see the proxy information in the URL.
Then go to your Canvas shell:
- Within a text editor box, paste the persistent Share URL or Embed code, OR
- Within a Module, create a new External Link and paste in the persistent URL. Make sure to check the box for the Load in a new tab option. Why?
