Follow these steps to create persistent links to materials in the CountryWatch database:
Start at the A-Z Databases page:
- Go to the CountryWatch database.
- Find a page you like. (Note: make sure the SDCC login is visible while you look through the database -- see the green box in screenshot below. Otherwise you will be unable to see certain parts of the database that you actually do have access to--listed under My Subscription.)
- Copy the URL of that page from your browser locator bar. That is the persistent link. Make sure you get the entire URL. The remote access info is already included in the URL.
Then go to your Canvas shell:
- Within a text editor box, paste in the persistent link, OR
- Within a Module, create a new External Link and paste in the persistent link as the URL. Make sure to check the box for the Load in a new tab option. Why?
