Follow these steps to create persistent links to materials in any Gale database:
Start at the A-Z Databases page:
- Go to any Gale database (including Literature Resource Center and GVRL e-books).
- Search for a topic and find an article you like.
- Click on a title to bring up the record.
- Click on the Get Link icon.
- Select and copy the persistent link URL. NOTE: In Gale, the remote access proxy info is already embedded in the URL though it does not appear.
Then go to your Canvas shell:
- Within a text editor box, paste in the persistent link, OR
- Within a Module, create a new External Link and paste in the persistent link as the URL. Make sure to check the box for the Load in a new tab option. Why?
