Abstract

ROBERT PRUITT, FACULTY

Robert Pruitt was born in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico in the late 1940s. Since his father served in the U.S. Air Force, Pruitt was able to live in many different countries including France and Japan. He received his Bachelor’s degree in physics and his Master’s in electrical engineering from the University of Missouri, Columbia. He is currently a Professor of Engineering at San Diego City College.

Professor Pruitt has worked as a chief engineer in sound recording studios, as a radio engineer, and in manufacturing of audio and video electronics. He has been teaching for fifteen years and is a member of the Audio Engineering Society since 1980. Pruitt was a college student from 1968 through 1974 and participated in civil rights protests, anti-war protests, and anti-nuclear protests. He also played in a rock and roll band.
