Access to Library Resources from Off-Campus Locations

How the login system works: 

When you click on a link for a database article, video, or e-book...

  • Students: Use your student email address and your student email password. You must be currently taking at least one San Diego City College class and have fully paid your tuition and fees in order to log in. (If you are trying to log into My Library Account, use your 10-digit school ID and mySDCCD password.) If you are having problems with your login, please email citylib@sdccd.edu and include your full name and student ID number. More troubleshooting details here
  • Staff: you will be prompted with a Microsoft single sign-on (SSO) login, which is your SDCCD email address and the same password you use to log into your email (your Windows credentials). (If you are trying to log into My Library Account, use your 10-digit school ID and mySDCCD password.) If you are having problems logging in, email citylib@sdccd.edu and include your full name, department, and employee number.
  • Faculty: you will be prompted with a Microsoft single sign-on (SSO) login, which is your SDCCD email address and the same password you use to log into your email (your Windows credentials). Common issues: 

  • Some databases require that your browser be set to accept all cookies.
  • Security software may interfere with a database's user authentication protocol. You may have to temporarily disable it in order to connect to a database.

Where can I post my own videos?

Besides free web services like YouTube and Screencast.com, you have local options available to post instructional videos you have created. Just make sure they are captioned and contain no copyright infringements before you post.
