About the Library

Location: The San Diego City College (SDCC) Learning Resource Center is located in the R Building, situated along Park Boulevard on the southwest corner of the campus. The 67,000 square foot, three-level facility includes the Library, the Independent Learning Center computer labs, and the Office of Classroom Technology Management.

Collections: The Library offers an extensive collection of both print and electronic scholarly books and periodicals, reference resources, and streaming video. These may be accessed either on campus or remotely. Wireless access is available.

Assistance: SDCC librarians are available to assist students with their research and information needs at the Information Center desk, by phone, by email, or via 24/7 online chat. Research appointments with a librarian are available in-person or on Zoom for individual students or for small groups of students. A one-unit course, Information Literacy and Research Skills (LIBS 101) is offered as an 8-week session during Fall and Spring semesters.

Other Library services include building tours, research sessions for class groups, course reserves, circulation services, group study rooms and interlibrary loan of materials between district college libraries.
