Where are the Children's Books?

The City College library has a small collection of children's books (a few shelves' worth), but does include Caldecott award winners. To find this section, take the elevator to the third floor of the building, then as you exit the elevator, turn right, and walk past the corridor for the restrooms and past the shelving for the Oversize books. The Juvenile Collection (JUV) is shelved with the High Interest/Low Vocabulary books. See photo below.

Much larger collections of childrens' books may be found at local public libraries:

  • San Diego Public Library system Kids page (main branch is located at 330 Park Boulevard, about 8 blocks from City College LRC. The entrance is on Park Boulevard just past J Street)
  • San Diego County Library system Kids Corner
