Databases

Electronic Periodicals

These databases are focused on article collections from news and newspapers.

Print (hardcopy) Periodicals

These publications on a variety of topics are located in the Library near the Circulation Desk and the Print Station, under the "Periodicals and Newspapers" sign. The display shelves can be raised for access to two years of back issues (except newspapers). Some titles have web sites also.

  • Academic Search Complete (Classic UI)

    (EBSCO) Multi-disciplinary database provides articles covering biology, chemistry, engineering, physics, psychology, religion & theology, and other subjects. Some full text. Nearly 6,600 active full-text journals and magazines; nearly 6,000 active full-text peer-reviewed journals. Note: The Classic UI for Academic Search Complete will be replaced by the New UI after August 1, 2025. 

  • Academic Search Complete (New UI)

    (EBSCO) Try out EBSCOhost's new user interface (New UI) for Academic Search Complete! Same content as Classic UI, different look & feel. Note:  The Classic UI will be replaced by the New UI after August 1, 2025.

  • College Source
    (College Source) College catalogs and course descriptions. Full text.
  • ERIC
    (ERIC) Collection of education research. Articles and summaries on education topics. Some full text.
  • Explora
    (EBSCO) Visual search interface intended for secondary school students. Points to information in the following databases: History Reference Center, Health Source: Consumer Edition, MagillOnLiterature Plus, and MAS Ultra - School Edition. Some full text.
  • MAS Ultra (High School)
    (EBSCO) High school-level articles, books, biographies and primary source documents on history, science and other topics. Some full text.
  • New York Times In Education

    Curated collection for instructional use by educators. To register, click HERE. To log into your account, click HERE.

  • O'Reilly Online Learning New

    (ProQuest) Collection of over 50,000 e-books, 30,000 hours of video, plus audiobooks and case studies. Provides “on-demand access to a vast collection of titles (including O’Reilly books in early release), courses, videos, case studies, expert playlists, and more from O’Reilly and nearly 200 other publishers.” Covers business, career development, data, security, software development, web development and more!   • Primary Search (grades k-6)
    (EBSCO) Elementary school-level magazine articles, plus encyclopedia and dictionary entries written for children. Also includes photos. Some full text.
  • Vocational & Career Collection
    (EBSCO) Articles from over 330 trade and industry related periodicals. Some full text.
