211 San Diego serves as the main hub for people experiencing homelessness in San Diego. Below are links to a few of their most useful resources.

The two websites listed below provide a non-comprehensive list of shelters in San Diego. Please reach out to 211 San Diego for more assistance. 

  • CalFresh
    •  CalFresh helps low-income individuals and families buy more healthy and nutritious food. 
    • Apply here.
  • 211 San Diego offers assistance applying for CalFresh over the phone and in person! More information can be found here.
  • Visit the 211 San Diego database for a list of places in San Diego unhoused individuals can receive free meals and snacks.

Homelessness Response Center (HRC)

The City of San Diego Homelessness Response Center provides a broad range of services to help individuals and families experiencing homelessness on their path to permanent or longer-term housing.
