Follow these steps to create persistent links to materials in any EBSCO database:
Start at the A-Z Databases page (or EBSCO Articles link):
- Go to any EBSCO database.
- Find a an article or e-book you like.
- Click on an article title to pull up the complete record for that item.
- Click on Permalink icon in the right-hand Tools menu. That will open a box with the permalink in it.
- Copy the URL in the Permalink box. The Library's remote access prefix is included. Make sure you copy the whole thing.
Then go to your Canvas shell:
- Within a text editor box, paste in the Permalink as a link, OR
- Within a Module, create a new External Link and paste in the Permalink as the URL. Make sure to check the box for the Load in a new tab option. Why?
